About the race

Based at Frylands Wood Scout Centre on the Croydon/Surrey fringe, the loop is mostly woodland trail with a short walkable climb and a long steady descent, about 115m of climb per lap. Hilly without being brutal; the 2026 edition sold out.

London Backyard Ultra takes place on Saturday 28 August 2027 in New Addington, Greater London, with Backyard (4.167mi loops) on offer.

Backyard format: a 4.167 mile loop starts every hour, on the hour, until one runner is left.
